This is a story of two people who met, worked on projects together, and finally realized that they have a business to start. This is our story, told by both of us, not in a collaborative way but separate. Why? So you get to know what each of our takes on our relationship is, how we met, what we believe in and most importantly, the work we do for our clients.
Bob and I met 12 years ago in Chicago. He ran a Relationship Marketing Agency for 20 years and me, a Direct Marketing Account guy turned Interactive and Social Media Marketing Strategist 7 years ago. I saw the writing on the wall, as clients were looking at ways to integrate the online and offline channels and monetize social. Bob knew of things that I had a passion for… analytics, research and understanding behaviors. Bob also was strategic, not just executional – the partnership was beginning to form.
Fast Forward to 2 years ago. When I decided to go out on my own, Bob and I stayed in touch, but were not aware of what path’s we would take that would bring us together. I had been working on Social Media projects for Bacardi, 42below, Citi and even the Black Eyed Peas World Tour among others.
Finally, I was called by an advisor of a client to take on a study leveraging social media technologies for a VC firm. That’s when I called Bob and said we should work on this together. He agreed.
We start Bodera.
Over the next year, we worked hard to hone our methodologies, processes and offerings. The past 18 months have been quite amazing, as we have seen our company grow to be called on by major brands, and our projects become more complex in scope.
Today, we finally launch our new site. We post our first post. We thought you might want to know a bit about us before you decided to listen to anything we have to say here. We are givers, meaning that we are always willing to do more than asked… Crazy? Maybe. Call it being social.
